North Kawartha Public Library
Apsley, ON
Timberline worked in conjunction with Christopher Z Tworkowski to finalize the design of the NK Public Library. Designed as a spacious open concept building, with cathedral ceilings and a cupola incorporated in the roof to naturally brighten the main room. Our clients requested that it was designed to blend into the "cottage country" atmosphere, implementing pine ceilings and trim. The defined grand post and beam covered entry presents guests with a warm welcome. The stone and wood siding combination adds to the country look. Timberline later built a gazebo to compliment the building, providing an area for guests to sit at the picnic table and read a book or use the wi-fi.
