Rustic Stoney Lake Boathouse

An award winning boathouse at the PKHBA Housing Design Awards 2014 for "Any Room in the House" or "Outbuilding". Blending into the surrounding of the beautiful shoreline of Stoney Lake, this rustic boathouse is the first phase of an amazing project. Built with all natural elements including stone and wood products as well as complimentary bold pine beams all custom built in our own wood-working shop. The modern enviroshake roof eliminates granular debris pollution created by asphalt shingles, ultimately more environmentally friendly. Preserving the natural landscape of majestic forestry and the formation of rock, this boathouse is positioned precisely to endorse the gorgeous property. This boathouse is naturally brightened through the addition of the windows in the cupola, allowing the building to feel warm and inviting. The simplicity of the finished interior, using stained plywood, creates a desirable tone to the boathouse, rather than leaving it unfinished. The convenience of the wet slip allows for the option of leaving the boat in the water or using the boat lift supplied & installed by R&J Machine.
