State of the Art Theatre Room

This state of the art theatre room was the only unfinished room remaining in our clients’ cottage that we had previously built, and was being used as storage space. This room was designed with the intention to be a “cottage” theatre room, as well as overflow room for guests to stay.  Incorporating a small lobby entrance to the room allowed for a full bathroom to be added, the lobby is finished with reclaimed barn board on the walls before entering through the barn board door to the theatre room. The room instantly provides a warm and comfortable feeling with the complimentary colours incorporated, perfect for getting cozy to watch a movie on the large projector screen. The room is finished with a combination of sound panels to contain the surround sound in the room with reclaimed barn board providing a rustic but modern look. Custom barn board doors were treated in our wood shop and made on site to blend in with the accent barn board walls hardly visible, including an entrance to the next room integrated in the accent barn board wall. Smart wiring was incorporated to control the coloured light bar around the perimeter of the theatre room ceiling, as well as dimming the wall sconces and ceiling lights. A state of the art sound system was added to achieve the true movie experience. A storage room was incorporated behind the projector screen containing all equipment necessary. The theatre room is finished with large sofa recliners that also form together as a large bed to serve a dual purpose for additional accommodation for visitors. This theatre room is sure to exceed your “movie time” expectations.
